I think that maybe after Shogun dies (in 4 or 5 years), I'll adopt a senior dog. Then maybe Yumiko and the other dog can live together for another 5 years and they'll die around the same time. Then, I'll adopt dogs that need to be adopted together.

That's my 12 year plan. Cuz Shogun and Yumiko still have a lot of time left on this Earth.

I deleted my old livejournal app and downloaded this new one. It works better. I mean, the other one barely worked at all without crashing constantly. Now I can be caught up on your journals!

I got my new phone yesterday. Yay! Samsung Galaxy s5.

I was gonna say something else. Now I can't remember.

I decided to give up on a book. I tried, about 1/4 to 1/3 through, but just not into it... it's The Hand That First Held Mine. I'm doing a 2014 book challenge, get through 50 books this year. I've only read about 10 so far...

Just checking in. Diligently working on my 365, just can't post photos from my phone (right?).

I turned 36. Went to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. Am 17 lbs down. Grampa (Ojiichan) is still alive. Dogs are great. Still on effexor for a while longer (it makes me sleepy, so think I will go off of it). Still working though nothing to work on. Wearing a dress at least once a week. My computer is still broken.

Cheers! I'll catch up on your posts sooner or later!

Young boy hopes to break Guinness Record before he dies

Dalton Dingus visit
Salyersville, KY — Worldwide, people are rallying to help a

9-year-old eastern Kentucky boy suffering from cystic fibrosis set
a Guinness World Record.

The young boy, Dalton Dingus, is battling stage four cystic fibrosis.

His goal is to beat the current Guinness Book of World Records for
receiving the most Christmas cards.

News station WKYT reports that the current record is 35,000 and Dalton currently has 23,000 cards. Recently the Morehead State University softball team spent Friday afternoon collecting Christmas cards. No one has asked for money to be sent, just a Christmas card.

Cards can be sent directly to Dalton at:

Dalton Dingus

HC 62 Box 1249
Salyersville, Ky. 41465

In 1989 Craig Shergold  received an estimated 350 million greeting cards, earning him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In fact, variations of the plea for greeting cards sent out on his

behalf in 1989 are still distributed through the Internet, making the
plea a persistent urban legend. Shergold was the same age as Dalton when
his request was made.

We did some digging and found a Facebook page dedicated to Dalton, called Dalton’s Destroyer’s.

A post shows the thousands of cards delivered, in just one morning. A post on Snopes confirms
that Dalton is receiving Christmas cards, but doesn’t mention Guinness
Book of World Records goal, just that “this is something you can feel
good about…”
